We are friendly and welcoming amateur historians devoted to teaching the heroism, stories, and sacrifice during the American Revolution. Our main impression is that of the First Maryland Regiment (the life and times of Revolutionary War soldiers and camp followers). The First Maryland Regiment is one that British historians describe as the best in the Continental Line!

Our members reenact the camp life, tactics, drill, and combat of the third quarter of the 18th century. We normally do this on weekends - Friday night through Sunday afternoon. We also portray militia, civilians, rifleman or artillery and sometimes (don't tell anyone) loyalists. 1MR participates in events up and down the East Coast.
